SISTERS

Well I thought I would put something up to make my blog a little more interesting since it's been a while...so here you go...cough...Julia...
These are pictures my sisters and I took this last summer for my dad for father's day.

From left to right:
Jamie (the oldest), Me (second to youngest), Julia (second to oldest), Alisha (youngest)

Jamie:
She is the spunky fun loving one, she is always ready for a good time, and she will make a good time out of anything. She is very caring and giving, and will give you great advice if you take the time to ask her for it. But don't tell her what to do because she will always do the opposite!
Julia:
She may seem quiet and shy at first, but when you really get to know her she can be pretty crazy. She is always thinking of others, and loves everybody! She is a good listener and a great friend, but can also be very stubborn!
Angela:
Well my sisters would probably say I am pretty weird and always want to be in the center of attention. I usually will try to keep the peace and try my best to keep everyone happy, but I am a Nazi when it comes to cleaning and organizing!
Alisha:
Don't let her teenage attitude fool you, because Alisha is the most selfless and giving person you will ever meet. She goes out of her way all the time to serve others, and she is especially good with children. She has a contagious laugh...and just about anything to her is funny :)

Putting up the Christmas Tree

Ben's sister Sam gave us a cute little Christmas tree, so the day after Thanksgiving we pulled it out and set it up!

Halloween

I have finally found some time to post some Halloween pictures. Ben and I went to my sister and her husband's house for Halloween and had a little party with a few of my siblings. We had some pretty funny costumes.

Halloween Morning our windows were bright orange so I opened the blinds and there was a beautiful sunrise, a perfect orange color for the Halloween celebration.

This is my sister's ferret, Fajita. She was dressed up as an angel, Ben tried to get a picture of her but she was moving too fast.

My Husband

I saw my sister-in-law Kimmy do this questionnaire
and I thought it was cute so I had to copy her :)

1) Where did you meet? We met at a conference he was attending and I was coordinating. It took him untill the end of the conferencce to finally ask me out :)

2) How long did you date before you got married? We dated for 1 year and about 2 months.

3) How long have you been married? We have been married for almost 3 months.

4) What does he do that surprises you? Ben is very good about helping clean the apartment, and making dinner, he is so sweet and is always asking what he can do to help me.

5) What is your favorite feature of his? I love the little wrinkle-dimples he gets when he smiles. I noticed it the first time we talked and have loved it ever since!

6) What is your favorite quality of his? Ben is very selfless and caring. He is always willing to help out whenever any one needs it.

7) Does he have a nickname for you? He stole the nickname from my sister Alisha. He calls me "Bog" because it is the first thing that comes up when you type ang in a text.

8) What is his favorite color? I have been asking Ben what his favorite color is since our second date and he continues to say it is whatever I am wearing :)

9) What is his favorite food? He really likes Italian food, Chicken Curry and Broccoli, and he loves his Pepsi!

10) What is his favorite sport? He loves Basketball, and he is very good at playing. I love going and watching his games, I have never been interested in the sport before but I have really grown to love it...once I start to figure out what is going on.

11) When and where was your first kiss? Well we had gone to dinner to Cafe Sabor that night, and I met his brother Mike there for the first time. Afterward we went to his place for a while and just talked. We had been dating for about two weeks by then and I was wondering what was taking him so long to kiss me. While we were talking I was very tempted to kiss him, and almost did a few times but I couldn't do it and thought that he had to be the first one to. He had a basketball game that night so he dropped me off early and he finally kissed me on my doorstep at the Glenwood Apartments.

12) Favorite thing to do as a couple? We like to take walks when the weather is nice and we like going to the movies and of course take midnight runs to get Ben & Jerry Ice Cream, and we like it when we can just stay home and hang out, with no plans at all. We had a lot of fun when we took our little Bear Lake picnic trip.

13) Do you have any children? Nope, none yet!

14) Does he have a hidden talent? He is a very good singer. He tries to be funny with it in church but it actually sounds really good.

15) How old is he? 26 years old

16) Who said I love you first? Well we were hanging out one night just talking and we started joking around and I carelessly said, "Oh I love ya..." and then I went silent and said, "I mean...I didn't mean to say that, it just slipped out". It was quiet for a long time and then we started on another converstion. A little while later he asked me if I meant what I said. I told him that I didn't mean to say it, but I did mean it, so then he looked at me and said, "I love you too". It was a precious moment :)

17) What is his favorite type of music? He likes pretty much anything with the exception of country, but he even likes a few country songs. He mainly likes alternative music.

18) What do you admire most about him? I love all that I learn from him. I try to be as giving as he is, and as kind as he is. He is a very good example to me.

19) Do you think he will read this? Probably...when he gets bored at work he usually takes a look at all the family blogs.

Happy Birthday Ben!!

For Ben's birthday we went to Olive Garden for dinner with all of his family the night before his actual birthday, and afterward we had them over at our apartment for apple crisp (Ben's request instead of cake).
It was a little squishy, but it was a lot of fun!

Good morning sunshine, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
The next morning was Ben's real birthday. So I woke him up a little early so we could have french toast, bacon, and so he had time to open some presents!

Bear Lake Picnic

Ben and I have been wanting to take a drive in the canyon to look at all the leaves changing colors, so this weekend we decided to pack up a picnic and drive to Bear Lake. The drive was so pretty!
When we first entered the canyon the leaves were all colorful and falling on the ground, and as we got closer to Bear Lake there was snow all over the place. It was super cold but we made sure we stuck at least our fingers in the lake.
We parked on the beach and ate our lunch in the car. We had so much fun on our little adventure and we were very glad we did it!

Date Night

We had Ben's brother Jordan and his girl Amy over for dinner Saturday night, and afterward we got a little bored and started taking pictures. :)

Gotta love Ben's blue camo pants...ahh where are his legs, I can't see them!

The Reception

The Reception was the next day in my parents backyard. It was beautiful, and I am so grateful that all of my family pitched in and helped pull it together so last minute. Thanks guys!

The reception started at 7:00pm and right then it began to pour rain, it did that off and on for about an hour and a half but it really cooled things down and made the night interesting. The rain stopped just in time for us to party on the dance floor. It was a lot of fun!

One side note...I am not a fan of my wedding cake, long story short the bakery messed up a little...to say the least, so ignore the pictures of the ugly cake :)

The Temple - August 8, 2008

August 8, 2008 was the perfect day! I couldn't have asked for a better wedding day. Ben and I got our pictures taken in the morning and were married in the late afternoon, and we had a dinner afterward with family that evening.
