Happy Halloween!

I dressed up as an Indian this year for my Halloween Bunco night.  Our host went all out and made the night so much fun.

This year we went over to Ben's sister Sam's house to carve pumpkins.  We carved and Kai painted.

Ben did his usual amazing pumpkin, his is Spiderman and mine is the mummy on the far right.

Kai's painted pumpkin.
Kai was a pirate this year and he really played the part well.  He loved saying "arrr!" and he especially loved his mustache I drew on his face, he thought it was pretty funny.  When we headed out trick-or-treating he started running down the sidewalk yelling, "or treat!" over and over and then when we would go to a house and someone came to the door he would freeze and not say a word.  He loved having trick-or-treaters stop by our house, he thought it was pretty neat and would run to the door and grab the candy bowl when the doorbell rang.  That night when we went to put his candy away he started screaming, "mine, mine!" then began to say, "arr!" poor kid didn't want his candy to be taken away after all his hard work as a pirate.

October Days

We started out the month of October celebrating Kai's cousin Kensington's birthday.  These two were born just 2 1/2 weeks apart.  She LOVES Minnie Mouse and her mom did such a good job putting together a cute Minnie Mouse party.

Ben headed out on a Business trip towards the end of October so Kai and I went down to South Jordan and stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Freeman.

We spent one day at Gardner Village.  Kai loved hanging out with his cousins and they were such good babysitters, which made it much easier for me.

After Gardner Village I took Kai to go visit Grandpa at work.

During our first ultrasound in July they found a cyst on our babies brain, more often than not these cysts will go away so the doctor wanted to do another ultrasound around 32 weeks to check up on it.  The ultrasound tech could see something very small but wasn't even sure it was even a cyst, regardless of what it was it was smaller than before and there was no fluid, which is a good sign and nothing to worry about.  It was fun to go see our little guy one more time before he is born, I just want to squeeze those cute little chubby cheeks of his!

Here is a fun Video of Kai rocking out at his cousins Kaylee and Sadie's house.

Kai's 2nd Birthday

Happy Birthday to my sweet baby Kai!  My little guy turned 2 years old!  Time is flying by and each day this sweet baby gets cuter and cuter.  Kai is such a sweet boy, he is sensitive to to people's emotions and he is very loving and kind, and for a two year old I think he is a pretty good sharer. He loves little babies, trains, animals, and his cousins.

Kai's birthday was on a Sunday this year so the lucky boy got two days to celebrate.  We had his birhtday party on Saturday and wanted him to get his gift before the party so decided to just celebrate his birthday on Saturday, but we also couldn't ignore that Sunday was his actual birthday so we did a little celebrating that day as well.
For his birthday we got him a train table, he loved playing with the train tables at the toy stores and would be so upset when we would have to leave.  When Kai saw his table in the morning his face lit right up and he yelled "train!" as he went running down the hallway.  He examined it for a few seconds then did a cute little victory dance and then jumped right in and began to play.  His reaction was priceless!

After Kai spent some time playing with his train we sat down and had donuts for breakfast.  As soon as Ben sat the donuts on the counter Kai climbed on up and began eating them before we could get the candles out and ready.  He would pick a donut up and take a bite, set it down and try the next one.  He was in heaven!

Later that day Kai had a train birthday party with family.  We ate lunch, then painted wooden trains, and then attempted some freeze dance but Kai was the only participant.  Kai rocked his little heart out while all the other children were either too embarrassed or too shy to join in. We ended it all with cupcakes, ice cream and presents.  Thank you everyone for all the great gifts, Kai has loved everything he received.

Kai's finished product.  I thought it turned out pretty neat looking.

After Kai's party he and his Dad spent some time making fun ramps with his train tracks, then we headed outside for a walk and a visit to our backyard duck.

The next day was Kai's actual birthday.  He was given a Spiderman backpack from his cousin Reese, so he loaded it up with a few of his new toys to take to church with him.  He felt so cool wearing his little backpack (sorry for the blurry picture...dumb camera).

After church we headed over to Grandma Becky's house for some dinner and Kai blew out some more candles.  He loved being sung to and of course loved blowing out the candles.  We had to repeat several times and he couldn't just blow out the candles he requested for us to sing as well.  Happy Birthday Kai, your mom and dad love you more than you could ever know!

Pumpkin Walk

This was the first year I have ever been to Logan's Pumpkin Walk.  There were several neat displays and Kai loved seeing all the different pumpkins.  It put us all in the fall/halloween festive mood so after the pumpkin walk we headed over to Starbucks for some Caramel Apple Cider and Hot Chocolate and then went and picked out our pumpkins to put on our porch.
